Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Selection Process
The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 consists of three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
- Type: Objective (MCQs)
- Papers:
- General Studies Paper-I (200 Marks)
- CSAT (General Studies Paper-II) (200 Marks, qualifying)
- Negative Marking: Yes (1/3rd of the marks deducted for each wrong answer)
- Qualifying Nature: Marks in CSAT do not count toward merit ranking.
2. Mains Examination (Mains)
- Type: Descriptive (Written)
- Papers: 9 Papers (7 considered for merit)

- General Studies (4 Papers)

- English & Indian Language (Qualifying)
- Total Marks: 1750
3. Personality Test (Interview)
